Siblings / Young Carers Group

Our young carers group has been supported through various funds including The Edward Gostling Foundation, D'Oyle Carte, Ragdoll and Walking 4 Norfolk and provides children and young people who look after a relative who has autism or a related condition, such as sensory, emotional, social or learning difficulties? Caring duties include helping a parent to care for a brother or sister by doing extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning, helping them to get dressed or move around, giving emotional support to siblings and parents. Often young carers are left feeling alone, thinking no one understands, not knowing who to talk to. Our Young Carers and Siblings group provides them with the opportunity to take some time for themselves, spend time with friends or the space to talk and share their views or fears.
