Covid 19 - In It Together
When we were hit by the pandemic Sunbeams was determined to keep going and through dedication and hard work we were able to keep in touch with families through our well-being service, providing online or phone advice and support. Food and gift/activity bags were provided to children, young people and families. Staff were treated to a luxury food hamper thanks to a kind donation through Marbleous Boxes.
Reopening in July 2020 with a strict cleaning regime, the children and young people were given the opportunity to earn tokens for Covid awareness and to choose a prize at the end of the summer.
Although restrictions have been lifted Sunbeams takes safety seriously and with a number of vulnerable service users we have decided that for the time being we will continue to follow some Covid measures.
Numbers within the groups will slowly increase to the original number with a strong cleaning regime. We will continue to fog the centre and to take the temperatures of staff and service users asking you to sign to say that as far as you are aware you have had no contact with anyone with Covid. For those who have or who are showing symptoms we will ask for a lateral flow test to be carried out prior to attending. If positive we will ask you to remain at home, if negative you are welcome to join us.
