Caring Role

Along with respite and social sessions Sunbeams Community Hub supports carers. Carers can be any age and often feel isolated and alone, finding very little time for themselves. Our young carers groups are open to 6 to 18 year olds.

Having two floors we are able to offer two groups splitting ages to allow for a slightly different experience;

'Carers Together' is our younger group for 6 to 14 year olds to attend on Thursday evenings term-time 4.30-7.30pm and 9am to 12pm during school holidays.

'Reset' is for 14 to 18 year olds again Thursday evening's 5- 8pm.

Both groups offer a safe space to relax and socialise, to enjoy creative arts, relax in our sensory room or garden, talk to our staff who are there to support if needed.

The small charge of £6 provides access to additional support including therapy, benefit advice, training (when available), trips and much more.
